Post #269, Candace: The Son of God is eternal. Micah 5:2 tells us – “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratha, though be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be Ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting.”
Maria – just a few thoughts or suggestions hopefully to ENCOURAGE you:
First, you ARE the Church – it’s just a question of how strong a pillar you are or want to be.
Those who are pillars love the Lord with all their heart, soul and mind. They love their neighbors as themselves. They are the ones who take up their cross and follow Jesus.
How did they ‘get’ that way? They know the heart of the Father through studying God’s Word, fellowship and prayer. They can give an answer for the hope that is within them with gentleness and respect. They desire the milk of the Word and can also digest the meat of the Word.
They are the ones who consistently walk after the Spirit, seeking to honor Jesus in everything they think, do and say.
They are the ones who progress spiritually from ‘little children’ to ‘young men’ to ‘fathers’… (1 John 2:12-14)
You want to know a great definition of GODLINESS?
“As the deer pants after the waterbrooks, so pants my soul after You, O God” Ps 42:1
Hope this helped…He [The Son of God], became flesh through the virgin birth. This is what was going on in 1Jn.4. The Son of God existed long before Mary came around.
